Your processor is skimming more than you think.
We're local brokers, not a processor. We make the big processors bid against each other. That gets you a lower card rate. Send one statement. We'll show you exactly what you're overpaying, free.
The statement is confusing on purpose.
Processing statements are built so you stop reading. That's where these live:
Charged whether or not anyone helps you with compliance.
A fee for printing the bill that contains the fees.
For a terminal that costs a few hundred dollars to buy. Forever.
Your rate inches up over time and the notice is buried on page four.
We read these line by line for a living. Send us yours and we'll translate it, free →
A processor wants you on their rates. We make them compete for you.
Northwest Payment Brokers has been in Federal Way since 2010. We sit on your side of the table. We shop many processors and talk the rate down. We put in the equipment. Then we stay. We're the local people who pick up when something breaks.
See exactly how it works →We work for you
Brokers work for the merchant. Processors bid for your business. They don't lock you into theirs.
Local, and we answer
A real person in Federal Way who knows your account by name. No 1-800 maze.
Free terminal, no traps
The right equipment at no cost, and no multi-year contracts.
Plain-English statements
We translate every fee and show you exactly what you pay and why.
Three ways to stop paying the fee.
Dual pricing
Cash price and card price posted side by side. The customer chooses, and you keep 100% of every sale.
Interchange plus
Pay the true wholesale card cost plus one small, fixed markup you can see. We negotiate that markup for you.
Surcharging
Pass the credit card cost to credit sales only. We handle the notice and the caps for you.
Eleven systems. One recommendation: yours.
We carry the major systems. We'll tell you which one actually fits your business. Even when the answer is the cheaper one.
Most people find us for the rate. Then they find the rest of it.
Five things we can set up for your business, and what each one is actually for. Take one or take all of them; the rate review is free either way.
Card processing
The rate you pay every time someone taps a card. We make the big payment companies bid for your business. Then we read the statement every year, to be sure the rate stayed where they promised.
Point of sale
Eleven systems on the shelf, and we point to one. It's the one that fits how you actually ring people up. Material is the all-in retail bundle, with hardware and software together.
Invoicing
Send the bill by text, get paid the same day, and stop writing the third follow-up email. Hyfin runs invoicing end to end. Biller Genie is the one to use if you bill out of QuickBooks.
Working capital
Money for the second location, the walk-in freezer, the slow-season bridge. We shop the lenders. We put the fine print into dollars. We tell you when the answer should be no.
Customer financing
The big ticket stops walking out the door. Your customer applies at the counter and pays over time. You get paid in full, up front, the same week the work is done.
Working capital is money your business borrows and pays back. Customer financing is money your customer borrows at checkout. You are paid in full either way. But these are two different products. Each one has its own form.
Not sure which one you need? Ask us →We do the shopping. You keep more money.
The whole process →We shop
Tell us about your business. We call many processors. We push them for a better rate.
We compare
You get a clear, side-by-side comparison in plain English. No jargon, no pressure.
You keep more
We set you up and stay your local support contact. Free terminal, no long contracts.
79 five-star reviews. Here are three.
“They went above and beyond... spent several days working with us and was even able to get our funds expedited. Oh, and then there's the fact that they are saving us thousands of dollars a year!”
“I was skeptical that they could save me money. They assured me that they could, and they did... If I needed something they were always willing to show up at our office and help us.”
“I now know that having a broker to fight your corner is key. The only time I ever had an issue, the team went to bat for us and made sure we didn't lose money... I can gladly hang up on all of those payment processing cold calls now, thank god!”

Do you know your effective rate?
Total fees divided by total card sales, from one monthly statement. That single number tells you whether you have a problem. Here's how to read it:
Healthy. Someone got you a good deal.
Worth a look. There's usually money here.
Red flag. You're likely overpaying by thousands a year.
Don't want to do the math? Send the statement, we'll do it free →
Fair questions.
What does a payment broker do for me?
A processor sells you their rates. A broker shops many processors and pushes them for you. Then we show you a side-by-side chart. The processor you pick pays us, not you. So we only win if you stay happy.
What does the free rate comparison cost?
Nothing. And there is no obligation. Send one recent statement. You'll have a plain-English breakdown within 24 hours.
Do I have to change my POS system?
Usually not. Most of our programs work with the equipment you already have. When new hardware does make sense, the terminal is free.
Am I locked into a contract?
No long-term contracts. We keep your business by being worth keeping, not by trapping you.
Is it legal to do dual pricing in Washington?
Yes. Both prices are posted before the sale, which is the approach the card brands accept. We handle the signage and setup so it's done right.
What size business do you work with?
Most of our clients run $20K to $200K+ a month. That means restaurants, retail, salons, trades and pro services. All of them across the Seattle-Tacoma metro.
