Exatouch
A hybrid POS from Electronic Payments. Cards run fast on its own terminals, with the cloud as backup. It is built to keep working when the internet does not.

The pick when you need it to stay up. Cards run local first and dual pricing is built in. It is the cheapest to own of any system we install.
Who it's built for
★ best = where we recommend it first. Crossed out = we'll point you to a better system for that business.
What it can do
What Exatouch actually is
Exatouch sells one thing: it stays up. The system runs on its own terminal, in your building. Speed never depends on your internet. An outage does not stop your line. The cloud is there for backup and remote reports. It is not a single point of failure.
It is made by Electronic Payments. They build the POS and handle the payments too. For most owners that is a warning sign. One company doing both usually means you are stuck with their rates. We use it another way. When the numbers we bid are right, the two halves work together very well. And dual pricing is built into the platform.
It does more than its plain look suggests. You get full restaurant tools. You get retail stock with vendor tracking. You get booking for service shops. And you get customer history across all of it.

What it does well
True offline operation
Cards run on the terminal itself. So cards keep going and tickets keep printing through an outage.
Native dual pricing
Cash and card prices are built into the platform, not bolted on. Receipts, displays and reports all understand the program.
Restaurant management
Tables, courses and split checks. Kitchen printing and delivery. It sets happy-hour prices too.
Retail inventory
Track your vendors. Send purchase orders. Print labels. See the margin on each item.
Appointments
Book the chair and keep the client history. Made for salons and service shops.
U.S.-based support
Phone support from the company that builds the system, plus us locally.
This is the sleeper pick.
Nobody buys Exatouch for the looks. They buy it because it does not go down, and because dual pricing is built in. Add the rates we bid down. It is often the cheapest system on this page to own.
No system we carry fits our dual pricing program better. The program is built into the platform. It is not set up on top of it.
The hardware
Exatouch terminal
A touchscreen terminal of its own, with the software already on it. No store-bought tablet to break or walk away.
Kitchen printers and KDS
Standard kitchen routing for food service.
Customer display
Shows the dual pricing clearly at the point of payment.
How businesses run it
The restaurant with spotty internet
Service doesn't stop when the connection does. Tickets print, cards run, the day reconciles when the line comes back.
The shop that wants near-zero fees
Dual pricing is built in. Add the processing we bid down. It is one of the cleanest ways we know to wipe out card fees.
The salon that books and sells
Booking, retail stock and checkout in one system. Not three.
Best for
- Restaurants that are not a chain
- Service shops and salons
- Businesses with unreliable internet
- Owners who care more about uptime than looks
Where it falls short
It runs on its own Windows terminals, not iPads. The screen is built to work, not to look good. If you want sleek hardware on the counter, look at Paradise or Clover.
We carry eleven systems. That way we never have to push the wrong one on you.
Exatouch, answered
Who makes Exatouch?
Electronic Payments, a U.S. processor. They build the hardware, the software and the payments as one stack. We bid the payment side down. That way the tie-in works for you, not against you.
Does it really work offline?
Yes. Cards run on the terminal first. So they keep going through an outage. The system syncs to the cloud when the line comes back.
Can I see my numbers remotely?
Yes. The system runs in your building, but the cloud still gives you reports in a browser.
Is it hard to learn?
The screen is plain but it makes sense. Most staff are at ease within a shift. And we do the training on site ourselves.
Why do you call it the cheapest total cost?
Three reasons stack up. The hardware comes as a bundle. Dual pricing is built in, so the program needs no extra parts. And the processing behind it is bid through us. Fewer parts, fewer markups.
Does Exatouch work for salons?
Yes, and better than most people expect. Booking, client history and retail checkout are all built in. It is our value pick for service shops.
Not sure Exatouch is the one?
Tell us what your business does. We'll match the system, even when the answer is a cheaper one.
