What Clover actually is

Clover is the system we quote most often. The reason is simple. It does almost everything well. One account runs your register, your online ordering, your loyalty program, your gift cards and your staff schedule. It all feeds one dashboard you can read from your phone.

It's built by Fiserv, one of the biggest payment companies in the world. That cuts both ways. The platform is proven and the hardware is great. But buy it direct, or from some random reseller, and you tend to overpay. The software tier and the rates behind it get marked up. That is where we come in. Same Clover, at a cost we bid down.

The app market is the quiet edge. Need recipe costing down to the ingredient? A queue screen, QuickBooks sync or a self-serve kiosk? There is a vetted app for it. So Clover grows with you. You don't have to swap it for the next system.

A shop owner rings up a sale on a countertop touchscreen register at a gift shop counter while a customer taps a card on the reader beside it.
One counter, one screen, and a reader the customer can reach. Interface shown is illustrative.

What it does well

Loyalty and gift cards built in

Points, punch cards and digital gift cards are built in. No add-on from another company. No extra monthly bill.

Branded online ordering

Pickup, delivery and curbside under your own name. It runs off the same menu and stock as the counter.

Real-time inventory

Track every item. Get low-stock alerts, print labels and keep tabs on your vendors.

Staff tools

Set the schedule and run the time clock. Give each person their own access. See sales by team member.

Multi-location ready

One dashboard for every store. Set menus and prices in one place.

An app market that fills gaps

Hundreds of vetted apps. Sync your books, take bookings, add kiosks, scales, age checks and more.

Our take as your broker

Clover is the safe, strong default.

That is also why it gets overpriced so often. People buy the brand and never bid the processing. We quote the same hardware with rates we bid down for you. And we are the local team that sets it up on your counter.

Pairs with our programs

Clover runs our dual pricing program cleanly. Both prices show on the customer screen. The math happens on its own. Your statement shows the fee leaving. It also takes gift cards through Factor4 and E-Gift, so your current card balances come across.

The hardware

Clover Station Duo

The full counter setup. You get a screen for staff and one facing the customer, plus a receipt printer and a cash drawer.

Clover Mini

A compact all-in-one for tight counters. Full register features in a footprint the size of a tablet.

Clover Flex

The handheld. Take orders and payment at the table, in line or at the curb, with a built-in printer.

Clover Kiosk

Self-ordering for QSR. Customers order and pay while staff make food instead of taking orders.

How businesses run it

The cafe with a line out the door

A Flex in the line and a Station at the register clear the morning rush. Loyalty keeps the regulars coming back.

The three-location retailer

One stock list and one place to set prices. See how each store is doing without driving there.

The full-service restaurant

Take orders at the table on Flex handhelds. Send them straight to the kitchen. Tips land right for each server.

Best for

  • Sit-down restaurants and QSR
  • Retail shops of any size
  • Salons, spas and service businesses
  • Owners who want one system that does everything

Where it falls short

Software tiers are priced by industry. The costs stack up if nobody is watching. And if you need one thing done deeply, a specialist system may beat it. Salon commissions and liquor-store case-break stock are two examples.

We carry eleven systems. That way we never have to push the wrong one on you.

Clover, answered

Is Clover expensive?

The hardware is mid-range and fair. What swings a lot is the software tier and the markup on processing. Buy through us and the processing gets bid down. That is usually where thousands a year hide.

Can I keep my menu and inventory if I switch to Clover?

Yes. We handle the import. That covers your menu, modifiers, stock and gift card balances. Most shops switch over in one slow afternoon.

Does Clover work if the internet goes down?

It keeps taking card payments offline. It syncs when the connection is back. Full cloud features like online ordering need that connection.

Can Clover run dual pricing?

Yes, and it is one of the cleanest setups we install. Both prices are posted. The terminal does the math for you.

Which Clover device fits my counter?

Tight counter, go Mini. Full setup with a customer screen, Station Duo. Tableside or curbside, add a Flex. We spec it during the free consult so you don't overbuy.

Can I take Clover to a farmers market or pop-up?

Yes. The Flex runs on battery and LTE. The same account that runs your counter sells at the market on Saturday.

Not sure Clover is the one?

Tell us what your business does. We'll match the system, even when the answer is a cheaper one.
